Call me crazy but sometimes I love the wrapping part more than anything! I filled my basket and then added up in my head what it would all cost. Even at half off I was still going to be spending a chunk of change on paper?? Crazy! So I emptied my basket and decided to come up with another plan. Shortly after I came home I decided to clean out my closet and pantry. (Not sure what got into me?) And then it hit me...I will wrap all of my gifts with items that I was either going to get rid of or trash! I started collecting anything from bubble wrap and HEB paper sacks to old ratty socks and shirts. This is my first creation and I was pretty proud.

I cut the shirt into strips and grabbed some old yarn that I had stuffed in a drawer. Landon walked in and shook his head with a grin on his face. All he said was, "Only my wife would cut up a shirt and use it as a bow." I quickly agreed and said. "Why yes, yes I would." :)
PS....Socks work great to and add some fun texture to the bow!
Merry Christmas everyone!!

Momma Webb (yours truly) beat everyone at Monoply. Grae cried and then feel back and hit his head. Kids brushed their teeth and Will said his tummy hurt. Finished brushing their teeth and they both punched each other, tattled and then asked to sleep together. In the meantime, Landon ran in the house to grab his gun and asked if I would come out and kick the chicken coupe at one end to make a possum come out. So, I did what every good wife would do and put my rubber boots on. Ran out right before it started pouring down rain and kicked the door till the possum (which could double as a wolf) ran out. Landon shot and wounded it but had to finish it with a fence post. It started pouring down rain. I ran inside and Will is running around the corner yelling "Mom, there is a Tomato (tornado) coming!!"

What just happened?

Good Night. :)
Our sweet and precious Winnie (aka the best sister in world, Jenna) set up the perfect pumpkin carving event for all 4 of our kiddos. They each picked out the pumpkin that spoke to them at Central Market and couldn't wait to get started. They drew the design first and then the hard part came in where Winnie and I took over with the large butcher knives.

Then the kids dug out each pumpkin saving the seeds to roast later.

Grae was a pro at saving the seeds for roasting.

Will was not so impressed with the texture.

Our two pumpkins have there own little perch on our porch and last night were lit with candles inside. This is Will's favorite movie of all time and can pretty much repeat word from word. (HE knows that the few bad words are replaced the word "peanuts" :) We often have to remind when playing a real baseball game that he isn't in the Sandlot as he yells out "throw it to second Smalls!". That kids cracks us up. He is a keeper.

Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03139924623628699156noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2329552906952264674.post-76068074504889536272011-09-21T10:38:00.002-05:002011-09-21T10:42:45.096-05:00I can't get close enough :)
So we let the boys sleep together a couple nights a week as a reward. When I first started praying for him I prayed just the general prayer of, please bless our marriage and the basics. As my prayer time became more intimate I got more specific as I know that God asks us to come to him boldly with our requests. I know that He wants only what is best for us and especially for our marriage. Why would God compare how we should love our spouses to how Christ loved the church if He didn't think this was a BIG deal! :) As I started to pray more specifically for Landon I began to see him in a different light. I have always loved and appreciated the sweet qualities that make him...Him but its different now. Some of things that I saw as weakness I am now seeing as great strengths. I think that God has done more work on my heart through praying for Landon than anything else. I know that the better I can learn to love my sweet Jesus the better I will be able to love Landon.

I want to be able to look back 10, 20, 30 years from now and know that I took pride in protecting my marriage and did all that I could to bring Glory to God by what my marriage reflected. How thankful I am for Landon and all his many God given qualities.

Phil 1:3

I thank my God every time I think of you.

<img src="http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii192/jennifertakala/sarahsig.jpg" border="0" alt="<span class=" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" />Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03139924623628699156noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2329552906952264674.post-18425091275760133332011-09-20T10:02:00.004-05:002011-09-20T10:25:09.860-05:00I never knew Candy Land would be the answer...

Grae and Will have recently perfected their skills of irritating one another. So, this past weekend after many...."Mom, he blah blah blah" Landon and I decided that before we would do anything fun they had to figure out how to have fun with just the two of them. We let them pick who's room they would play in but that they had to play together without fighting for 45 minutes before either of them could move on to anything else. We gave a few suggestions but told them that if we heard any fighting or arguing the 45 minutes would start over. Can I just say that this time was amazing. Not only for them but for me as well! There is an indescribable feeling that came over me with peace in our house. As I was soaking in the moment I peeked into Grae's room to find him teaching his little brother how to play Candy Land. He was so patient with him (Even though Will kept pretending to eat all of the Candy Land men) This is now the Saturday morning rule....Team Building at The Webb Household! :)

<img src="http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii192/jennifertakala/sarahsig.jpg" border="0" alt="<span class=" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" />Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03139924623628699156noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2329552906952264674.post-80118948074044324172011-09-20T09:29:00.003-05:002011-09-20T10:01:28.869-05:00Go Rangers!

Last week we took the boys the $1 hotdog night at the Ranger game. Oh my is all I have to say.

'Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03139924623628699156noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2329552906952264674.post-68169535038770020372011-09-08T09:11:00.000-05:002011-09-08T09:12:40.702-05:00Boys and BaseballWell, we have been waiting for Fall baseball for 3 months now and it is finally here! Grae moved up to the 8U division (coach pitch) and couldn't be more excited about it. The recent cool front that has blown in has only fueled the fire more and between school and practice we are living in our front yard that can always be spotted from a mile away. Covered in baseballs, helmets and of course BASES! This is no surprise to anyone that knows Will. We can hardly make a quick run to the store without him gearing up in full baseball gear just in case a field is on the way. Will is starting in the 4U mini T-ball league this year. He is 3 and is on a team with some of his best friends! (Nathan Walters, Drew Haynes and Cooper Cumba) We had our first practice a week ago and when practice was over and the coach told them they could all go play on the playground Will looked straight up at his daddy. He had this look of horror and said as he began to cry..."I don't want to be done with baseball!" So the obsession continues....I will be typing up the game schedules soon for the both of them and will get them emailed! They would welcome a cheering section! :)

Will throwing "The HEATER"

Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03139924623628699156noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2329552906952264674.post-367279434058422042011-09-07T16:23:00.003-05:002011-09-07T16:28:13.359-05:00good stuff to come...its been too long<img style="display:block; My man loves him some meatloaf. We have been married going on 6 years now and I have yet to make it. (It is sooo not my favorite) Well, I got to thinking a couple weeks ago after Landon had done one thoughtful thing after another for me that I would finally break down and make him the BEST meatloaf he has ever had. So, I reveiwed recipes for two weeks and finally found the perfect one! A mixture of fresh ground sirloin from the local butcher shop and many other yummy things. I just knew it would be good...and it WAS! Such a huge hit. I didn't have to say much while making dinner Landon was just thankful for a hot meal. Once he realized it was meatloaf his sweet eyes lit up like I had just given him a week long hunting trip in the rockies. He gave me a hug and said, " I know that you did that just for me" He then scooped the boys up and took them out fishing. While I finished up dinner I couldn't help but think about how much I adored him. And all I did was make some meatloaf..I mean really? That is all it takes? This reminds me that its not about the big things here and there but about the everyday little things that keep me loving him more and more each day. I am writing this so that one day he can look back and not really even remember the dinner I cooked but that 6 years into our marriage I loved him more than I could have ever imagined. I wouldn't be able to write about my precious boys if they didn't have a sweet daddy like Landon.
So honey...this means many more meals of meatloaf and many more years of "little things".

Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03139924623628699156noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2329552906952264674.post-53740756809256305342010-03-25T22:44:00.002-05:002010-03-25T22:54:33.160-05:00Yeah Baby!Any mother can tell you that when her child begins to talk for the first time it is such a joyous moment! Seeing their sweet little facial expressions and the way they form their lips to sound out just one litte word. Our little William has been a character since birth and has continued to build his "character" as we like to call it over the past 22 months. He is finally coming around to making sentences but short ones. As his mother I just have to say that he gets his point across by using just two simple words. He is so smart! ;) For example, No Ruby...No Bubba...No chicks...etc. But my all time favorite sentence yet was from this morning. It was apparently a glorious moment for Will. He stood back gazing at the fridge as I slowly opened it. There...on the second shelf stood his milk waiting in his beautiful sippy cup. (This has to be what he was thinking.) The minute I picked up the cup and turned to look at him he yelled as loud as he could while motioning his hand in a fist downward, "YEAH BABY!!!!" If that's all that it takes we are in good shape. Oh man, I love that kid!

Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03139924623628699156noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2329552906952264674.post-2052540226025893442010-03-19T21:29:00.002-05:002010-03-19T21:44:09.691-05:00Daisy PickerWell after several conversations between Landon and I we finally decided to start Grae in T-ball this year. He was so excited and so were we! The best part is that his sweet uncle Josh is the assistant coach and will be his best teacher. So I went out got the pants, the glove, the batting gloves (which are very important ;) and mixed in with a few hand me downs we were ready to go! After practicing at home I just knew Grae would be great! While he is the youngest on the team, he seemed to be picking it up pretty quickly. So, the first practice rolled around and Will came down with a fever so Landon and Grae went on without us. 2 hours later they came walking in the door. I knew from the look on Landon's face something went down at practice. Grae went off and had his shower and then went on to bed. Landon came and sat down on the couch with me...put his hand on my knee...sighed and said, "Well, honey we have the daisy picker of the team." I couldn't believe it! (Well I kind of could ;)He then went on to tell me that while Grae played in the outfield not only did he enjoy picking the weeds he thought it would be appropriate to act like a chicken (motions and sounds included) His team mates close by didn't appreciate that so they "kindly" told him to shut up. I was dying laughing listening to Landon talk about our little daisy picker like that. He just kept shaking his head and saying, Sarah...you should have seen him! I thought the story was over when Landon said after the huddle and yelling GO DODGERS Grae made a special trip over to Coach Carey to tell thanks and to give him a big hug. Of course as the mom I see my precious tender hearted Grae...such a lover but Landon had a talk with Grae on the way home to discuss fist bumps and high fives with the coaches...lets pass on hugs with coaches and save those for our momma. I am still laughing writing this as I can picture it as though I was there. Oh my litte Daisy Picker...how I love you!!!

We had our second practice today and he was much improved! No daisy picker tonight! We are so proud of you Grae!

Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03139924623628699156noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2329552906952264674.post-88981013159028832632010-03-10T15:34:00.001-06:002010-03-15T16:06:06.094-05:00Starting up again...<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgI6FTCd9uyL5hdKesdnNRah8rOC8ypOkRaqvL0onsVPxRpodbGzbx5H4-MJjWbi3I5_eb8Srhoe9XGjHN13D9VvKefsz0XWpF9QqfcYDxfuKBCnUGvQ_3bbjN9eUlCsBR8t0dDWoXJkAK4/s320/Grae+and+Will.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5448968879725984802" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 229px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYFnQWt_C-vNbzuAlDuDrrW5-2rrMQL_0Ez3c3q5nKowmLCvOzxFgDJEMmQPtuJTb1-qNDp3uiRZxQlE8EvClcS_RqZZRmYAK8gyLHNU05VFoALmH11NPJbRrsjb8nMmDhIJLsxT95FWEh/s320/Will+and+Mommy.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5448968511536490274" />
Life has changed with Will becoming a a true toddler and typing on the computer has become a true art with 2 kiddos under the age of 5! I am determined to at least attempt to record some of their precious memories in writing before I forget them. For those of you that have given up on me ever writing another blog...I apologize. Especially to my friend Stacey who recently encouraged me to start back up! It took me a few weeks but here I go. :)
So we have decided to combine the boys birthday parties this year as this may be the only year I can get away with it. I can't believe our little peanut is going to be 2 and our Grae-man is going to be 5! This just can't be?? While getting a registration form for next year from the preschool the director Debbie only gave me one form. I laughed and said, I have 2 boys remember. She looked at me and realized she would have to be the one to break the news. Grae will be in "big kid" school next year, Sarah. I pushed back the tears as I realized that not only would he be at a different school but the days during the week would no longer be "ours". That is the part that breaks my heart the most. But, good news is that Will and I will be getting some one on one time that we have never had before. I am looking forward to having him to myself!
On the way to school this morning Grae told me that he knew what to do if the girls wanted to kiss him on the playground. (He sounded very serious) I asked what...and he said he would run and hide. He said that his daddy told him he used to be chased by girls all the time because he was so handsome and that he had to run and hide. (So something Landon would say) Grae said that he would pick out his hiding spots today when the girls weren't around so that he would know where to run when the time came. I told him I thought this was the greatest idea he had ever had and that I STRONGLY supported him. He smiled and a few minutes later said, "mom...i think I am gonna have a probelm with the girls. I am a lot more handsome than daddy!" I laughed till it hurt. The kid has got a point...although he looks just like his daddy! Oh my, I have no idea what I am in for.
Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03139924623628699156noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2329552906952264674.post-9928838781576699022009-10-08T14:21:00.004-05:002009-10-08T14:41:50.648-05:00My boys
Sweet brothers!

It has been so long since I have blogged and the boys are growing up before my eyes. I couldn't help but share these pics that I took Monday morning on our way out the door. Grae is the ultimate big brother. He never leaves Will behind and always makes sure he is taken care of. They held hands while walking to the car this morning and it melted my heart. I tried to breathe in the cool air and stamp the smell as a memory that would be burned in my brain for the years to come. Will is so proud of Grae...he copies everything he does and doesn't ever want to be too far away from him. Landon and I are loving watching them grow into their own little personalities. Here they are sporting their new Halloween shirts. (Grae has asked to wear it everyday!)

He noticed a small scratch right above his right eye. He all of a sudden said it hurt...only after seeing it of course. :) We loaded up in the car and as I buckled him in I told him to just leave it alone and it would get better really soon. I got in the front seat and off we went. A few minuts went by and Grae was really quiet. He then said, I am going to pray about it. I said about what? (I had already moved on at this point) He said, about my scratch! I am going to pray and God will make it better. That is what you do mom...you pray and God makes things better. Having had a rough week I thought God's way of speaking to me that morning was pretty clever. I agreed with Grae and told him that he was right. We should always pray when we are hurting and when we are happy. It is good for God to know how we are feeling. He then said that his friend Merrit in his class was hurt too and that we need to pray for him. I said we can do that. Grae ended our profound conversation with this...
"Mom, do you think God gots enough band-aids for when everyone is hurting?"
What a sweet little heart he has.

Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03139924623628699156noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2329552906952264674.post-70094975540935986022009-03-01T22:01:00.003-06:002009-03-01T22:16:26.943-06:00So much catching up to do!!

Well, it has been a long time since I have blogged and so many fun things have happened with the boys. After opening the boys gifts and stockings from Santa we headed down the road to spend the day with Mia and John and Holli, KC and Tatum(Landon's sister and husband and our precious Niece). We were pleasently surprised when Gank pulled up the same time we did! After the kids played the Wii for a little while we opened presents. We only gave gifts to the kids and we had them open each present one at a time. I loved watching Grae as Tatum opened her presents and he would oooh and awww and tell her how pretty everything was. Will didn't care too much about opening anything but loved everything once unwrapped! He got so many wonderful things and has played with all of them since we got home. While Grae liked everything he opened over the past couple of days he was really hoping for a certain present. If ANYONE asked him what he wanted for Christmas he would always always say the same thing. "I want a blue power wranger suit and helmet and a mote control truck" He would also make sure to use his hands as he talked and motion around his head and body and he said helmet and suit. So funny. He knew just what he wanted! So...when he opened the power ranger suit and helmet he about went crazy. Then...when he unwrapped the Hulk hands and Hulk face...he was completely overwhelmed! It just doesn't get much better than Power Rangers and the Hulk!! (I do this boy thing so much better than I thought I would! I love it!) Thank you Mia and John for such a special time. The kids loved it and you did so much. We love you!

Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03139924623628699156noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2329552906952264674.post-228158647126706672008-12-30T21:19:00.003-06:002008-12-30T21:26:28.470-06:00Aaaarrggghhh!

Landon and Grae were playing Pirates and I caught this lovely shot. The first is with the entire Webb Family...which includes the famous Ganky (Landon's Grandma). All of the grandkids and great grandkids adore her. She is 81 going on 50. She still gets in the floor and plays with all of the kids and as you can see in the pictures she has no shame in beating up on any of them! She made an excellent Hulk. Grae had such a good time playing good guy/bad guy with her shile wearing his power ranger suit. She has carved out her own special place in his heart. Our sweet uncle Danny was Santa this year and had all of the dirt on all the grandkids. It is always so funny to see the pure shock on their faces when Santa list the "not so good" items on the list. For example, Santa told Grae that he made the good list this year but that he really needed to stop dropping trough in the middle of God's creation to use the bathroom. While it is appropriate to pop a squat while hunting with Daddy it is not so appropriate to drop our pants in the church parking lot. Grae looked at me and his daddy and said, "I can't go potty outside?" He really didn't see what the big deal was? We were of course laughing histerically. Then Santa gave each child a few presents and left on his four wheeler into the night. We had such a good time!

Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03139924623628699156noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2329552906952264674.post-62346851312489228022008-12-25T22:06:00.001-06:002008-12-29T22:23:18.230-06:00First Christmas with both of our boys!We had our first Christmas morning with both of our boys. It was so fun! Although Will could have cared less about the toys and would have been happy with a bunch of empty boxes to crawl in and out of. Grae was really excited about his new mote trol truck. (Remote Control Truck) He knew Santa wouldn't forget about it. We made hot chocolate and played with everything. I will soon be posting a picture of both Landon and Grae in their pirate gear. Pretty awesome. Our first Christmas was at my parents house (mimi and papaw). We have celebrated on Christmas Eve every year since I was born. I am so blessed to still be able to do that even after getting married. Now with our 2 boys my mom and dad have 7 grandchildren. It makes for a very exciting evening! This year we decided to only do gifts for the kids and came up with a fun game for the adults. So, when it came time for the kids to unwrap their goodies they gathered around in a circle as we piled presents around them. That is probably the most fun part! Watching their faces light up and seeing the anticipation of what is to come is so sweet. Once all the presents had been passed out my brother told all of the kids that this year they were going to take turns opening one present at a time around in a circle. The ages of the kids range from 3yrs to 11 yrs old (not including Will) so I was wondering how that was going to work out. The fun began and Grae was last to open his very first present. You know...we all have those proud moments as mom's when our children make a really good choice or when they do something so precious without you even saying a word? Well, this was one of those moments. Grae waited patiently...never whining or asking when it was his turn. He was genuinely excited to see his cousins open their presents. I was so proud of him. Such a sweet boy. After the kids opened their presents we went for a hay ride around Pecan with hot apple cider to look at Christmas lights. (Thanks Josh for the hay!!) We were pretty cold and after we sang all the Christmas songs we could think of we rushed back to the house. (Yes, I realize this is a tad cheesy but this is what we do...AND I love it!!) Once we got back to the house we sat the kids down in front of Kung Fu Panda and had a little bit of adult time. We all brought a jar full of something fun. We each had the total count in an envelope taped to the bottom of each jar. We all made our guesses and then revealed the winners. We were then each able to pick a jar to take home and enjoy! Although I was pulling for the jar my sis brought full of stuff to make Smores...I ended up with a really sweet jar that my dad brought that had the word Hope on the front of it full of chocolate! We had a great time. Such wonderful memories!

Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03139924623628699156noreply@blogger.com2
